Following are excerpts from an interview with Colonel-General [ret.] Leonid Ivashov, former member of the Russian Joint Chiefs of Staff, which aired on Russia Today TV on February 1, 2012:

Hummmmmm. That's an interesting comparison. Wrong but interesting. It's called PROPAGANDA. And of course Russia is tied in with Syria and Iran - that's not news to anyone really. He's saying "if you attack Syria/Iran, you basically attack Russia."
