The main argument I've heard is that the disenfranchised, the elderly, the disabled and others, don't actually have ID like a drivers license. There are no laws stating you need photo ID. So I can see where an argument could be made.

YOU HAVE TO SHOW AN ID TO REGISTER TO VOTE! WHY NOT SHOW THE SAME ONE TO CAST YOUR BALLOT?

Now, is the real issue allowing people to register without proving who they are?
