The main argument I've heard is that the disenfranchised, the elderly, the disabled and others, don't actually have ID like a drivers license. There are no laws stating you need photo ID. So I can see where an argument could be made.
The dispute right now is that the Fed is trying to quash attempts by the States to require photo ID. So saying "you can't have a law for it because there's no law against it'' sounds pretty fucking stupid... wouldn't you agree?

...or maybe you think it's just fine to subvert the entire democratic system on a technicality...you know-as long as things go in your favor...is that what you're saying?
