Default Presidential candidates and the economy
Persons running for president claim to know how to fix the economy, yet those at the bottom of the polls keep spending money on campaigns they have to know will fail. Thus wasting money. In my opinion this does not speak well for their ability to get this nation out of debt.

Take as an example Ron Paul. The person knows he does not have a chance yet every four years he shells out his money and that of his supporters to stage a campaign.

True others have made more than one attempt to become president and have succeeded on the second or third attempt, but did the economy improve during their time in office. I believe two of these persons were Nixon and Reagan, I am sure there are others.
