He acknowledges that political reality, but pretends that he can close down multiple departments and drastically cut defense spending? Sounds like selective acknowledgement to me, and pandering to boot. It's convenient to acknowledge that reality when it involves a handout, but to ignore it when it involves expenditures that he can demonize? With every passing day, Ron Paul makes more of an asshole of himself. It's time for that old asshole to walk away.

He can shut down every part of government that falls under the executive branch. He can nullify any or all of the 13,652 executive orders given over the years.

SS is a very different thing, of course. So I don't understand what you're trying to say.
