The economy/GDP makes for a strong nation, not its military presence.

We have nukes.....and other really nifty bombs, and the planes and missiles to deliver them.........we don't need a 'presence' scattered all over the globe.

Let's get the economy/GDP up to par, and see how much THAT would help us be 'strong'.
