We shouldn't forget about the great "Sanctuary City" of San Francisco where the police are prohibited from reporting illegal immigrants who commit crimes to Federal immigration authorities.

Piss off Mexico, give California back.

We did it to ourselves. We lost the Mexican-American War and we were forced to take Texas and Mexico.
