The number of Americans who believe the federal government should assume financial responsibility for the long-term unemployed has increased throughout 2011. Most, however, still reject that approach.

Somebody is scared.. and they know that high unemployment will cost Obongo the election.

Unemployment is going to remain high through the election. It's a mathematical certainty at this point... but a "New WPA" would make those numbers drop considerably.

"Just hire them all and make it go away! We don't have any other policy ideas! All we know how to do is spend money!"
I have a similar but better plan. Put all the welfare rats to work. We have plenty of people collecting in our community. Give them a broom, a sponge and a bucket of water and clean up the villages and Main Streets across the country. They are already getting paid so it won't cost us an extra cent. But the community will at least get some reward for the expense.
