You'll notice the byline on that CNN story has "by The CNN Wire Staff."
A nameless byline is always suspicious.
This story was most likely sent to CNN from an outside source.
And CNN being the paragons of virtue that they are, just happened to forget to mention the source in the byline.

They don't want to insult their Christian readers.
