THE ENGINE IS SEVERAL STORIES HIGH.

I don't recall saying anything about how modernizing has been bad.

What I think I stated that in its quest for rapid modernization, China has screwed itself and its citizens by treating their entire country like one big cesspool.

You said that China had 90% undrinkable water and now that's down to 50%. Do you have any sources that say/show China's drinking water used to be even more screwed up? Also, was this pollution industrial or human waste/agricultural?
