That is the most anti-American thing I've read yet on this board.

You don't want a federal government, you want a national government. Unfortunately for you, the Founders didn't set things up that way. Everything was done at the community or state level because that is where people's interests lie. Who cares more about the kids in your neighborhood? The parents in town, or some asshole in Washington D.C.? Who knows more about the needs and values of your hometown? The locals, or some asshole in Washington D.C.? See where I'm going with this?

Regionalism? Power bases? What a crock of shit. Local tyrannies? How about the national tyranny that regulating agencies are increasingly turning into that there is absolutely no escape from?

You're what's wrong with America.

Funny thing about those who shout "Anti-American" when it comes to a National Government as they want it "local".

Yet they're also the first to complain when "those idiots" in {insert State Capital here}, or "those idiots" in the county seat, or "those idiots" in city hall. No matter how close the the government is, unless they do exactly what these "Pro-Americans" want, they're idiots and "the people" (read them) "must take back their government" (read do as we want fuck the rest of you to hell) "and restore the American dream" (read put things the way they want it to be regardless of any other concern but their own). That is the most selfish and self aggrandizing positions to take that somehow they know best.

It seems the idea of liberty is "do whatever the fuck we want" and freedom "is to have it done my way". Wow.

As I doubt many here have ever read the "Federalists Papers" nor understand how our government is supposed to NOT work efficiently. An efficient government is one that the GOPricks want but it is also the most likely to be able to take over.

HEre's a hint: There are other people who don't agree with you. Get over it and get over yourself.
