LITHIUM??? Yes, it's been used since the late 40's, but for the most part it's been used more the more serious of mental illness. It has a narrow margin of safe use.
Anyone on lithium should have blood test because the effective dosage is close to a toxic dosage.
This sounds like a case for TLSG!!!
