Default Thoughts while reading
I picked up a copy of Decision Points by Bush himself and I had thoughts about the strategy in Afghanistan. The first stage of conventional attacks had proved dazzling success, with only 27 Americans killed. The next stage was where it was lost. Bush underestimated the terrorists. He decided to not pursue and take them all out. As a result, attacks got to the public and allowed them to gain an edge in the war. Not only that, but Bush didn't seize the initiative with enough people, or even force them into a conventional battle.

The moral of the Afghanistan war: keep pursuing terrorists until they are annihilated.
