He should only hire non-union teachers at half the current salary. If a teacher wants her job back she'll have to quit the union. If not, there are plenty of unemployed teachers that would love to earn $50K a year.

Then remind the parents that all their children will have to repeat the grade they are in next year if the teachers don't get back to work.
