It's really difficult to say what will happen with the military in control. There might not even BE an election.

Smuggling weapons won't help against the Israelis. Their advanced military is unrivaled in the Middle East. A war in the desert is all about mobility, and the Israelis have it. Concerning the Military, I will guess they are more likely to start a dictatorship and seize power. Next time the people are gonna have to be more smarter in following who has power.
