It's really the construction unions who are lobbying for this crap. I remember when they had a referendum to build the international airport in Denver. A friend of mine at the time made a living driving a cement truck. His union was spending hundreds of thousands of dollars lobbying to get the referendum passed.

It makes sense.. If you want to kill these guys financially, cut off the union $$$.

You've probably seen this, but for the benefit of others I repost it.

I sometimes wonder just how serious the GOP is about that..
