There's more than one reason.
I think one reason is because we can't keep our nose out of everyone's business and they know it.
Just how much in aid have we given them?

Its because Tel Aviv= Wall St.=Washington. The izrayli's are concerned about Egypt because the U.S.'s bribes and mil. h/w may not placate the Egyptians anymore.
