They ALSO need to take responsibility for them..

Meaning, suffer the consequences of their decisions.

We shouldn't bail out Cali, NY and IL.. They should be forced to declare bankruptcy and absorb the hit.

Very true.

If a liberal wants all guns banned, will they offer to pay real money damages when some 70 year old lady is unable to defend herself from the 240lb criminal that kicks in her door and attacks her with a knife?

Will they bear the cost themselves, of the bed bug epidemic in NY? Will they (in their self-righteous day to day life), accept their bad policy decisions in Cali and NY, and bear their own costs?

Of course they won't. And that is where the conflict begins. They want to make policy for all areas/states/cities in the US/world, even when such policies are wanted ONLY in THEIR area. Then, when those policies fail, they point to other areas and say 'well, gee, those guys must be the problem'.
