I find this stuff fascinating and towards the end, I think you get a sense of what makes Ailes so successful in media.

He's honest. He's blunt and to the point and he has really good common sense and instincts.

Most guys at his level would hedge and roll all around if you put your finger on them and push them into uncomfortable territory. Roger Ailes doesn't appear to be like that. He doesn't have uncomfortable territory and he just answers frankly and with a neat verbal economy that makes him seem competent and tough.

You really can't help but like him.
