But who is going to pay for what the citizens want? The taxes are not high enough already to give everybody what they want, and it is politically impossible to raise the taxes.
The problem with democracy is that the people will always vote for the person who promises them the most goodies from the public purse with the least taxation for themselves.

There is nothing free in this world.
The french people want free health care. Who is going to pay for that?
The french people want to retire at 60 instead of 62. Who is going to pay for that?
When you get some money, first you pay for the absolute necessities. For most people, retiring at 60 is not an absolute necessity. It is a luxury. Luxuries come last.

And just because people are unhappy with the government, it doesn't give them the right to burn and loot other people's property, like we've all too often see the niggers do, and as the french are doing in your own example.
