Yep, thats also why they brainwash their own with "nationalism" and segregate their populace from the outside influences.

For all general purposes communists are nothing more than hostage takers or kidnappers.

The reasons why the do it are A) because the elitists [government] want to remain elite and B) their economy is not based on free market and it creates no real wealth that has any real value. The real wealth under communism/socialism is manpower and that requires people [expendable people/slaves].
