Most of Hitler's posse were thugs and gangsters with little to no education. They came up from the streets.. rapists, petty theives, bouncers, leg breakers.. a few homosexuals.. Not much in terms of talent or brains or education.

Who among the leadership of the Third Reich had been convicted of rape or thievery?
Some of them had in the time of struggle been utilized at party meetings to keep order, bouncing the jew and commie hecklers out onto the street, and may have broken a few legs, or heads, in the process so I'll give you that, though that wasn't their main profession in life, and as far as fags go, the Fuehrer got rid of Roehm and his cohorts at the first opportunity. No fags in any position of power after mid 1934. And even Roehm never held an office of state.
