Germany was starving.. Germany was hard hit by the Depression of 1929 AND owed reparations for WW1 as well.

Bread lines ... real hunger and starvation were everywhere. Unemployment was over the top.

Only a people so totally broken and desperate could have ever been duped by an ignoramous like Hitler.
