According to my limited observations (I have lived in Muslim countries for about ten years) bathroom habits largely depend on social origin ( = level of education, urban population vs. countryside). The higher social strata are quite "westernized" in their behaviour, also bathrooms with Western toilets have become very common. Welp, I really cannot support the claim that Muslim men generally sit down to urinate.
