It's ok to have a "clean/simple" resume that is a good summary of your skills/abilities.
You can use a "personal" cover letter to include specifics that address the actual job you are using it for.

If you are only doing a resume for a single job, and have no intention of using it for anything else, then personalize it for the job.

AND USE COLUMNS... a bunch of short lines looks like crap.
