Wiki is your friend, Asher.

Information technology, archiving, information organization, management, collection development, cataloging, budgeting, and many other areas are studied, with application of practical methods/approaches to these different areas of librarianship. Adding the word "science" to things that are not "science" could not be any more annoying. Decent schools like Harvard realized this and changed their "political science" departments to "government" departments.

"Library science" takes humanity back about 200 years
