I went to Kenya once. It's an interesting country, albeit scary around Mombasa.

I've been there a couple times for a few months each. I return as soon as I get my papers in order and buy a ticket (going for one year).

Old Town can be a bit much but the stores are charming. The open market at night is nice, but I recommend staying near the hotel side of the street in the lights and not staying late.

Tiwi Beach was unbelievably great even though I almost got eaten by sharks (via my own being a dumbass).
