You idiot. No one is withholding anything. The market sets prices. What you want is the government to withhold things. You want the government in charge of everything. You are out of your mind, thinking the government is efficient.

While I'm not normally in favour of government efficiency, it is a fact that Canada's health care system is FAR more efficient than the American one. There are studies out on the cost of treatment, and the US system is ridiculously overpriced compared to every other country.

And yes, people are being prevented from getting treatment in your country. They either don't have insurance or they have an HMO that prioritizes their own profit over your health (eg, all of them) which denies treatment as often as possible.
