The name might be, but the Brits shoved these people down our throat about 300 years ago. By now, they think they are Irish too. Apparently they are partly right, as the Brits feel free to make fun of them. Obviously, they can't hold their drink like the real Irish.
Sorry, but aren't you American?

Do you know what pisses off the Irish more than anything (even the English)?

Americans constantly blabbering on about being Irish when the most Irish they've ever been is in the Paddy O'Connor pub drinking a Guinness
