Given that there are about a million Iraq & Afghanistan war vets around and have been for a few years (let's say 2, to be generous to your side of this) this gives a murder commission rate of 6 per 100 000 per annum. Slightly higher than the US average (~5 per 100 000 per annum) but actually fairly low once you include stuff like age and gender (the veterans will be disproportionately male, all will be adults, and most will be under 35). QFMFT.

It was painful reading this article and not being able to post this in response.

How is this even a story? Because it fits the theme that US soldiers are brutal bloodthirsty babykillers.
