The is exactly Nietzsche's arguement when he stated "God is dead."

He suggested that it was Paul who killed the Jewish concept of God. He actually had a lot of respect for the historical Jesus.

An interesting thought, but misguided. The Jewish concept of God changes over time as the Jews change over time.

I do think that Islam has a concept of God that Jesus would find familiar. Then again, Jesus was a reformer.
