Story:



The story is about City Hospital, which witnesses a chain of blood curdling spine chilling murders. Dr. Suhani (Sayali Bhagat) faces uncanny incidents at the hospital. She is stunned by the monstrous force that sweeps out of the night to cause a trail of gruesome killings. A leading investigating agency entrusted with the case, assign it to their most competent officer Vijay Singh (Shiney Ahuja). What follows, is more killings and the search to find the culprit.

Story Treatment:



What seems like a simple story about deceit and revenge, turns out to be a pure example of stuffing myriad thoughts which distort the original script. Too many aspects to a horror film that tries to show revenge, karma and philosophy in a very amateurish manner makes the movie tasteless. The first half is wasted in establishing connect to the story and failed efforts to churn out chemistry between the lead actors. Second half creates few moments of thrill, but by then it’s too late.

Star Cast: Ghost is a comeback vehicle for Shiney Ahuja, but the movie might not help him sail through troubled waters. Sayali Bhagat is ignored by the director and as a result can go unnoticed by the audience. Chemistry between Sayali and Shiney follows the actual genre of the movie- dead. Julia Bliss is expressive as ‘living’ character; special effects shoulder the responsibility of carrying her efforts forward in her ghostly appearance.



Direction:

Puja Jatinder Bedi attempts to weave a horror romantic flick with a pinch of Bollywood Masala, which ends up in as a claustrophobic mistake. Certain horror scenes ring up the wrong emotions and instead make the onlooker laugh. The director fails to spot that the movie suffers from continuity issues and unrealistic situations like- at 3am, in a busy city hospital, a solitary doctor roams around with no hospital staff in place and in a totally dark corridor.

Dialogues/cinematography/music:

Dialogues are dull and lifeless. Cinematography is strictly okay, while rough editing doesn’t help connect with scenes taking away the emotional quotient from it. Music is forgettable, while the background score supports the horror scenes.

3ups and downs:



An effort to experiment with the horror genre with the help of special effects is decent. Those who are missing some horrifying moments can give it a shot, without many expectations attached to the attempt. Not recommended for those who don’t appreciate gross brutality on screen. Shiney Ahuja’s fans, who have been missing him won’t find anything spectacular to take home.
