Wow!!! Thank you both so much for your help on these questions! I do have more questions personally I will continue to post later. I am so grateful you shared your hearts, knowledge, and experiences with me.

Is it possible to be a Christian and follow the teachings of Buddha?

I can only give my opinion here, I can see no reason why a Christian could not begin to practice the teachings of Lord Buddha.I am not sure whether you would be either the same Christian or even recognisably Christian after practising diligently.But I do not think it would or could bar you from practising.
