I've found this video helpful with my sitting meditation as before I'd watched it I thought anything less than 10mins was a waste of time but I was far too distracted for 10mins. But starting with a min then two and adding when I'm ready, combined with a meditation timer app on my phone to stop me checking the time ever second has really helped.
