Thanks guys for all your advice. To be honest I feel a bit silly asking such questions, so I really appreciate the feedback.
I'm really enjoying reading about buddhism and I will start looking at specific traditions more closely, and then, hopefully make an educated decision. My daughters have commented on the fact that I seem calmer about things, that can only be a good thing and inspires me to continue studying buddhism in the future.
