srivijaya...The problem with belonging to just one school, to the exclusion of all others is the following. How do you reject that which speaks to the heart? This really spoke to me after reading JadeRabbit's opening of this thread. Whilst we kind of 'know' that we need to follow one set of teachings, it can be quite difficult to not be influenced by others.

By nature, I am naturally inquisitive and really question all that is presented to me. I never take anything at face value, but seek to find how something resonates with me and why. This is the essence of the Buddha's teachings, irrespective of which 'tradition' they come from.

There's more to a spiritual path than signing up to a set of beliefs. This is so very true
