If any of you could share your ideas on compassion in every day life with work colleagues, friends, etc. it would be very helpful
Hi Mandy,

I think that metta (loving kindness and friendship) has possibly been slightly more relevant to me than compassion in everyday life because I've found it beneficial to remember the Buddha's words on loving kindness (Karaniya Metta Sutta) which include:

"Let none through anger or ill-will
Wish harm upon another.
Even as a mother protects with her life
Her child, her only child,
So with a boundless heart
Should one cherish all living beings,
Radiating kindness over the entire world:
Spreading upwards to the skies
And downwards to the depths,
Outwards and unbounded,
Freed from hatred and ill-will"

with kind wishes,
