Just briefly on two points. I am with you on cognitive dissonance; our minds are often full of a lot of conflicting trivia that makes us more miserable. I "meditate" ongoingly in my own way.
While I find what I know of Buddhism as somewhat confusing and contradictory perhaps I am looking at aspects contrary to where I am presently at (if anywhere?).
Sorry make that 3 points, Osho, in my view, was a materialistic fraud who used fudgy logic to the extreme.
