what exactly has lead you to develop an interest in learning about buddhism?

what specifically are you personally searching for?
1. I like the concept of no judgement and I just don't feel a connection with worshiping the communal idea of one version of God when there are so many aspects. I came from a very religiously intolerant family. Not so much in the atheistic type, but rather in the christian "every religion is wrong except for ours" type. I believe that we can overcome well... suffering is really the best word to use, in this present life and not have to wait for death for it to cease, though that mentality never fit quite well with the religion I was raised in.

2. As for personally, I'm searching for control. Learning to control myself mentally, thoughts and what not. Ultimately i'm searching for inner peace that I can share with others.

Hajurba - in regards to my contract it isn't up until 2014 so I have a little bit of time before that is an idea.
