For example I love my best friend and I'd hate it if we stopped being friends or something happened to him.
You can not control this. It is not in your hands to retain a friend. There is no way to be successful in that.

I guess my question is what is the Buddhist response to this situation. I guess I'm asking is it wrong or bad to have close friends in Buddhism? Friends are good. Reflect and contemplate the teaching given by Element. Friends are welcome with or without "Buddhism's".
