If I were you, I'd start with one of the many biographies of Siddhartha Gautama. I think that would be helpful in setting the context for the rest of the philosophy. There's a lot on Youtube about Buddhism, but sometimes it's kinda hard to wade through the woo. Here's a BBC documentary:
