but what about having pride in the achievement's others? For example your children getting good grades in class.
Pride is related to self. "My achievement", "My reputation," "My children" etc. This can often lead to comparison with others and feelings of superiority.

Its ok to feel genuinely happy when someone else's life is going well for them though!
