Race doesn't and has never mattered. All so called "Races" are mixed(except maybe in the absolute heart of Africa). To use an obvious example, there is Neolithic J2 Ydna in Norway.
When it comes to ethnicity however, all that I think matters is identity. As long as you can keep your ethnic/nation's identity when you interbreed, I don't think it matters at all what race you might be.... Turks and Jews got it right.
