The interesting part is that they are very pro-Belgian in general, contrary to what you might expect.
I think this is because they are rural of a people and less opinionated. People from small places usually just go with the flow I believe. Pro-Belgian is more 'carelessness' than anything else. They certainly don't seem to enjoy being called Walloons (source: a Liégeoise) and they seem to also be - albeit slightly - annoyed by the slowly growing French influence in their towns (source: German-speaking Belgian in Dag Allemaal, yeah laugh). If we're truly honest: people in our country aren't known for their high rate of political participation in society.

By the way, one year ago when I was reading the forum of Le Soir there was one German-speaking Belgian who really didn't want to have nothing to do with Belgium and hoped he'd join Germany one day. They do exist apparently. I cannot find it back again.
