Wickedgirl. I hope you know that the vast majority of East Asians and South Asians at American universities are from the US themselves and are second or third generation students like amerinese pointed out.

I know, I was responding to mosov when he said that America needs to improve its education system to compete with the Asian countries.

The Asians and Indians who were born here do tend to outperform whites in school, I'd say that's probably because of the fact that their parents are usually very strict and pressure them to work hard whereas whites are often spoiled and allowed to be more lazy/laid-back. I always hear Asians complain about how demanding their parents are.
