My great-grandfather (who was part English, Cherokee and Afro-American by the way) supposedly was a loan shark. I don't like loan sharks but I wouldn't say that I'm ashamed of him. My parents have issues that are fairly common in modern western societies, but I'm not ashamed of them either.
