You're correct about the linguistic and cultural/historical face of it but totally wrong about the Kabbalah ordeal (yeladim don't get the right to get into Kabbalah, only Tzadikim).

Here's some proof: I absolutely suck at maths (learned how to cope with it as I grew up).
Interesting. I see that Yeladim are not trainned in the esoteric teachings of the Kabalah, as the specialized Tzadikim. However, all the culture is influenced by a mystic associated to knowledge and numbers. And when you live in a society that have good feelings toward knowledge, math and books, it is not surprised that the intellectual achievements of many is the obvious consecuence.

I have studied the works of Stanley Kubrick, particularly 2001 Space Odissey, his Kabalistic works. It is something that goes beyond human to the infinite. Only a person trainned since childhood in such beautiful culture of meanings could have achived such masterpiece.

And yes, I know that Jewish intellectuals were foundamental in the development of Spanish literature, too. You can see that in the converse Fernando de Rosas who wrote La Celestina, or in Cervantes, that is supposed to be a converse as well. The Jewish heritage in the Spanish-Speaking culture is precisely our love to literature.

Love to books, math, history and culture are the key to intelligence and to the development of people. I hope that truth could be known worldwide.

OK. NO more ad hominem. But try to think! Caramba.
And try to learn, too. This thread is full of interesting data.
