Funny how they didn't succeed in having a nationwide hit with the same song. The music style, Forro, is regional for NE Brazil, and Michel Telo is from Parana in southern brazil.

That's because Telo's rythm is more catchy, forro is very regional and has many variants (like forro universitario).

BTW, I'm watching that vid for the third time just for that girl in red bikini.
