East coast mexican americans or "chicanos" aren't even expoced to those aztlanistas. Many here don't give a crap about race. They think their nationality is their race, I think its common in the west coast for them to identify as indios.

Actually, these radicals are only a very small minority in the west coast. Most Mexicans here identify along national lines and ethnicity. I've never personally met one of them, although I've seen a few around, maybe under 10 in my twenty years living in California. Easily Identified by these shirts they wear stating they are not Latino or Hispanic but Native American when the majority of them are 60% + Euro
