I have known many educated professional whites who are to varying degrees racist towards blacks, Latinos, MENA and South Asians. Catholics and Protestants, Jews, atheists, straights and gays, Republicans and Democrats... German, Scot, Polish, Ukranian, or Sicilian heritage. These people aren't usually obsessed with it though. I mean like a guy who you are riding in the car with, who pulls up next to some trashy white guy blasting some rap and comments that he should "act his race" but isn't constantly preaching racism. I have known and worked with guys like this for years, then spring it on them that I'm mixed race. It's good for the lulz, but honestly they never held it against me, that I could sense. Probably because in the current age, Japanese get a pass, and half these guys are hot for Asian girls, even if they are married to bleached blonde white women. These people also rib each other about their own ethnic stereotypes, like mafia membership, wearing kilts, whatever.
